Beyond Barriers: The Dreamers' Summit 2026
Connection. Learning. Empowerment.
Beyond Barriers: The Dreamer’s Summit is a motivational and empowering event organized by Shine Foundation to support young people living with severe physical disabilities in achieving their dreams.
The summit will provide a platform for past and present Dreamers to connect with peers, be inspired by dynamic motivational speakers, and engage with employers showcasing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) initiatives. Post-secondary educational institutions will be present, offering resources for their academic and career aspirations, and accessible sport will be showcased to highlight the power of physical activity.
The Dreamers’ Summit removes barriers by opening doors within an inclusive space. It helps build a toolkit that can foster a sense of community, inspire hope, and provide tangible direction for all participants to pursue their goals. It’s where potential meets possibility.
Strengthening Support Systems:
Beyond Barriers: The Dreamers’ Summit is not just for the Dreamers, it’s also for those who support them every day. While Dreamers engage in workshops and activations, caregivers (parents, health care professionals, PSWs and more) will participate in a nearby workshop stream, creating their own toolkits for support, self-care, and long-term success.
