Volunteers are vital to the Shine Foundation. From coast to coast, volunteers form the very heart of our organization. They give their time and skills, not for personal gain or praise, but to make a difference in the world and add positivity, hope, and optimism into the lives of Shine recipients.
We celebrate our volunteers throughout the year and honour their service and commitment during National Volunteer Week with the Wayne C. Dunn Spirit of Service Certificate of Appreciation.
Wayne C. Dunn Spirit of Service Award
From 2009 - 2019, this award recognized and honoured an individual who contributed to the mission of the Shine Foundation through their extraordinary personal service over an extended period of time. Shine's Board of Directors would select the recipient and present this award annually to honour a remarkable individual who made substantial and sustained contributions of his/her personal time and talent to ensure Shine's mission is fulfilled to the greatest degree possible.
